What makes NZ King Salmon Oil the ‘King’ of all supplements on the market?

Our NZ King Salmon Oil is used as a supplement to provide our pets with the healthy omega’s DHA and EPA. These are long chain fatty acids that have been proven time and again to help reduce inflammation in pets, which causes disease.

Allergies

Research shows that omega 3’s (DHA and EPA) found in marine sources, support the immune system by positively influencing the functioning of immune cells such as white blood cells, known as B cells. Essentially, this helps the body naturally reduce allergy symptoms, such as itchy red skin. Many of our customers have seen a dramatic improvement in a matter of 1-2 days, without the use of antihistamines.

Inflammation and degenerative disease

As pets age, they are susceptible to degenerative diseases caused by inflammation. Marine based omega 3’s (DHA and EPA) are anti-inflammatory, helping to decrease inflammation and thus many degenerative diseases.

Mobility and joints

Arthritis and joint pain is caused by the inflammation of joints. As discussed above, due to the anti-inflammatory properties in DHA and EPA, arthritis and joint pain is greatly improved with the inclusion of omega 3’s.

Marine based

The essential fatty acids found in NZ King Salmon, are longer chain fatty acids ‘EPA’ and ‘DHA’. EPA and DHA are readily available to the body to utilise where needed. On the other hand, plant based sources of omega 3’s contain ALA, a shorter chain omega 3 fatty acid which needs to be converted by the body to form EPA or DHA. The body can usually only convert around 5% of ALA to EPA or DHA, making ALA omega 3 fatty acids 20 times less effective than EPA or DHA.
